Kerry Katona Finds Joy in Marbella After Miscarriage Heartbreak
Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona has shared heartwarming family photos from a holiday in Marbella, celebrating her son Max's 18th birthday alongside boyfriend Paolo Margaglione. The images capture the 45 year old mother of five smiling broadly while surrounded by her children and partner.
A Celebration Amid Personal Struggles
The family trip to the Spanish city comes as Kerry has been processing a deeply personal loss. During an appearance on Paul C Brunson's podcast We Need To Talk, she revealed that she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with her boyfriend's child.
Kerry disclosed that she was unknowingly pregnant during the finale of Celebs Go Dating, the show where she met Paolo. The couple began filming in April 2025, announced their relationship two months later, and moved in together after eight weeks.
Paolo, who is already a father of two, recounted the moment he suspected the pregnancy. "I could smell it on her, like, weird. I said, 'You're pregnant'," he explained on the podcast.
Emotional Revelation
Kerry described taking a pregnancy test early one morning before meditation. After seven years without falling pregnant, the positive result came as a shock. "I ran and woke him up," she said.
The singer shared that she considered the pregnancy deeply meaningful because it "was made from love." Tragically, she miscarried. The couple tried again, but she suffered another miscarriage at four weeks. It was this experience that made her realize how much she wanted to become a mother for the sixth time.
Previous Heartbreak
This is not the first time Kerry has experienced such a loss. In her memoir Kerry Katona: Whole Again, she wrote about a miscarriage following a rebound fling after the death of her ex husband George Kay. She required surgery to remove the foetus.
Kerry is mother to Molly, 23, and Lily Sue, 22, from her marriage to Brian McFadden. She also shares Heidi, 19, and Max, 18, with ex husband Mark Croft, and Dylan Jorge, 10, whose father was the late George Kay.
